Shipping, care & a little reassurance
I want the photograph to arrive safely and feel right in your home. Here is how an order travels from the lab to your wall.
Standard metal prints
The entry metal option includes standard shipping to street addresses in all 50 U.S. states. The selected product page confirms the dimensions, finish, mounting, and price. Custom, oversized, international, and expedited orders receive an individual quote before payment.
Your print is produced to order and shipped directly by Bay Photo. Mid-gloss on a white aluminum base, rounded corners, and a rear float mount are the standard specification. The print is supplied without an outer frame or glazing. Wall screws and anchors depend on your wall and are your choice.
Two deliveries, explained
The print itself is unsigned. Your hand-signed and numbered certificate is mailed separately by Steve. Keep the certificate with your order records. It identifies the photograph, dimensions, material, and edition number.
Each photograph has one edition of 50 across sizes and materials. Personally signed requests use that same edition pool.
Timing
Allow two to three weeks for a standard U.S. order after the details, print approval, and payment are confirmed. Production and transit estimates vary, especially around holidays. A delivery date is confirmed individually if you have a deadline. Please ask before buying a time-sensitive gift.
Paper and custom work
Paper is supplied unframed unless your quote explicitly includes framing. Your quote states image dimensions, sheet dimensions, border, paper, shipping, and the total. Personally signed prints travel through Steve for inspection and signing, which adds handling and transit time.
Changes, damage, and production problems
Please contact Steve promptly if you need to change an order. Once production starts, changes and cancellations are not guaranteed. Prints are made for your order, so please choose the photograph and dimensions carefully.
If your order arrives damaged or has a production fault, keep the packaging and send photographs of the packaging and print. Steve will help arrange a replacement. No one should have to live with a damaged print.
Hanging and care
Use a fixing appropriate to the wall and the weight of the print. Display indoors, away from prolonged direct sunlight. Follow the care instructions supplied for your finish. For paper, use a framer familiar with conservation mounting and glazing.
